The Managers

DGS Marine Management Services acts as managers for the British European & Overseas P&I facility (with limits of US$ 500 million, with options up to US$ 1 billion). We are exceptionally well placed to complete with the domestic and international P&I providers in the fixed rate premium market. Originally centred on trade within northern Europe and the Baltic, the service is now truly worldwide, underwriting a wide range of vessels:

  • general cargo ships
  • bulk carriers
  • reefer vessels
  • fishing vessels
  • tankers
  • research vessels
  • tugs and supply ships
  • floating cranes
  • port and river craft
  • ice breakers

Our service is supported by ‘A’ rated securities and we have a strong in-house team of specialised legal experts. Whilst the service already operates to highly professional and internationally accepted standards, DGS Marine is determined to develop the facility and react quickly and positively to customers’ comments and suggestions.

Cost effectiveness and tight management control are central to our service. By concentrating on clients’ individual requirements, the commercial and legal realities of the case and using our legal expertise and worldwide network, we can advise on customers’ urgent day to day problems and work hard to resolve complex international issues.
